Quotes and estimates
Quotes given over the phone from a photo and a measurement are ballparks and are described as such. A written itemised quote following a site visit is the binding one. Where a quote depends on something we cannot see until the wall or ceiling is open, that condition is stated on the quote rather than discovered afterwards.
Scope changes
If opening up the work reveals something the quote did not cover, wet framing, the wrong board behind tile, a structural issue, we stop and tell you before continuing. Additional work is quoted separately and in writing. We do not carry on and add it to the bill.
Payment
Normal repairs are payable on completion. On larger jobs any deposit is agreed in writing and, consistent with BBB Colorado guidance, will not exceed 25 percent of the total before work begins.
Workmanship
If a repair we carried out fails because of how we did it, we come back and put it right at no charge. That does not extend to a crack reopening because of ongoing structural or soil movement we identified and told you about in writing, or to a texture match on a surface we advised against patching.
What is outside our scope
We do not carry out asbestos sampling or abatement, water damage restoration, structural repair, or plumbing and roofing leak repair. Where a job needs any of those we say so and stop.
Scheduling
We give a date and a time window and we call if either is going to slip. Where drying time is required between coats, the schedule reflects that and it is not negotiable, because closing a repair before it is dry is how the same job gets done twice.
